Virtus Solis Announces Appointment of Bryan Zetlen as Directory, Strategic Initiatives
TROY MI SEATTLE, WA — Jan. 29, 2026 — Virtus Solis Technologies is proud to announce the appointment of Bryan Zetlen to Director Strategic Initiatives. A seasoned Subject Matter Expert (SME) in aerospace, Zetlen brings over three decades of high-level experience across NASA, FCC, FAA, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the commercial space sector to this leadership role.
Since 2023, Zetlen has served as Launcher and Space Operations Advisor with Virtus Solis Technologies, leveraging a distinguished career that includes significant contributions to the International Space Station (ISS), Space Transport System STS, Blue Origin’s engine programs, Sea Launch and Axiom Space’s Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) program. As Director Strategic Initiatives, Zetlen will drive Virtus’ strategic efforts in space infrastructure and regulatory compliance.

Zetlen’s career is defined by technical excellence and visionary leadership. He has served as a Program Manager and Chief Systems Engineer for industry giants including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics. Notably, he held key regulatory roles as an appointed member of the FCC National Committee and a delegate for ITU/WRC, where he managed critical GEO/GSO slot and frequency allocations.
Beyond his industrial achievements, Zetlen is a respected educator, having served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington’s Department of CS/CE since 2009. His recent work on Space-Based Solar Power (SBSP) applications, presented at the 2025 International Space Development Conference, proposed a strategic vision of how SBSP can accelerate the circular space economy.
